August 2025, the College of Biomedicine of Shanghai Lin-gang Industry University officially signed a cooperation agreement with Suzhou Elite Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly establish the Pharmaceutical Chromatography Professional Institute. This collaboration marks a solid step forward in industry-education integration within the field of pharmaceutical chromatography and will help cultivate more high-quality, high-skilled professionals for the industry.
Shanghai Lin-gang Industry University is a public service platform jointly initiated by Lin-gang Group and Shanghai Jianqiao College, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and with the support of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration. It aims to cultivate "high-quality, high-skilled" talent. The College of Biomedicine was officially established in 2021. In 2024, a 1,000㎡ training base was completed and put into operation at Life Blue Bay in the Lin-gang Special Area, covering full-chain training capabilities including new drug R&D, process development, manufacturing, and quality testing.
As a leading enterprise in the domestic liquid chromatography field, Elite Technology has focused on the chromatography industry for over thirty years, persisting independent R&D and innovation. Its product portfolio includes high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), chromatography data workstations, LC-MS/MS instruments, preparative purification systems, metering pumps, columns and accessories, widely used in pharmaceuticals, food, environmental protection, chemicals and other fields. It has won BCEIA Gold Awards and CISILE Independent Innovation Gold Awards more than ten times, and the "Elite" trademark has been recognized as a China Well-known Trademark.
Through this joint establishment of the Pharmaceutical Chromatography Professional Institute, Elite will fully leverage its deep expertise in chromatography technology, application methods, and instrument maintenance to build an integrated platform for industry, academia, research, and application together with the College of Biomedicine. Dr. Li Tong, founder of Elite Technology, will be appointed as a distinguished expert. Dr. Li has engaged in chromatographic instrument development for over thirty years, has received multiple honors including the CAS Science and Technology Progress Award, Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and Dalian First Prize for Science and Technology Progress. He has led many national key scientific research projects, holds more than 40 patents, and is the author of monographs such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography Instrument Systems, achieving important results in fundamental research areas including chromatographic packing materials and micro-nano pumps.
The establishment of the Pharmaceutical Chromatography Professional Institute will consolidate the technological resources of the enterprise and the educational platform of the college, offering systematic training in chromatography principles, instrument operation, method development and compliance verification. It will enable the pharmaceutical industry to receive more chromatographic analysis engineers who understand theory, master practical skills and adhere to compliance, thereby contributing to the high‑quality development of China’s pharmaceutical industry.
