How It Works

The Supersil premium C18 chromatographic column utilizes monodisperse high-purity silica gel microspheres with highly uniform particle size, featuring a precisely controlled pore structure. Coupled with advanced and mature single-bond bonding and secondary end-capping, the column minimizes the activity of silanol groups, making it suitable for separating compounds with different hydrophobicities. It is a versatile chromatographic column with the most extensive range of applications.

High universality, with good selectivity for acidic, alkaline, and neutral compounds.

  • Mobile Phase: Methanol : 0.02 mol/L PBS Buffer (pH=7.0) = 80/20
  • Wavelength: UV 254 nm
  • Flow Rate: 1.0 mL/min
  • Injection Volume: 10 μL
  • Column Temperature: 30°C
  • Column: Supersil Premium C18 5μm, 4.6 × 150 mm

1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone forms chelates with metal ions, leading to tailing of chromatographic peaks, while amitriptyline, being a basic compound, interacts with residual silanol groups causing tailing of chromatographic peaks.

Experimental results show that Supersil Premium columns have extremely low metal ion content and excellent end-capping.

Wide pH tolerance range (pH=2.0~10.0)

It exhibits excellent stability under both low and high pH conditions. The chromatographic performance remains unchanged after continuous flushing for more than 10 days using mobile phases at pH 1.0 and pH 11.0.

Methanol: Trifluoroacetic acid aqueous solution (pH=1.0)=40:60(v/v), 1 mL/min, 60 ℃

Methanol: Triethylamine aqueous solution (pH=11.0)=40:60(v/v), 1 mL/min, 60 ℃
