Supersil ODS2

Supersil Series HPLC Columns were developed by ELITEHPLC with decades of expertise. Designed for higher separation efficiency, extended service life, and minimal batch-to-batch variation.

Built on ultra-pure porous spherical silica (purity >99.999%), Supersil delivers excellent mechanical strength, uniform pore size and particle distribution, and outstanding batch-to-batch reproducibility.

  • Uniquely engineered surface treatment ensures superior uniformity of silica gel.
  • Exceptionally low metal ion content.
  • Advanced end-capping technology significantly reduces residual silanol groups.

How It Works

High universality, with good selectivity for acidic, alkaline, and neutral compounds.

It exhibits excellent hydrophobic selectivity, making it suitable for the separation of polar compounds, and is widely applicable to the analysis of both traditional Chinese and Western medicines.

Mobile Phase: Methanol : 0.02 mol/L Potassium Phosphate Buffer (pH=7.0) = 80 : 20
Wavelength: UV 254 nm
Flow Rate: 1.0 mL/min
Injection Volume: 10 μL
Column Temperature: 30°C
Column: Supersil ODS2 5μm, 4.6 × 150 mm

1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone forms chelates with metal ions, leading to tailing of chromatographic peaks, while amitriptyline, being a basic compound, interacts with residual silanol groups causing tailing of chromatographic peaks.

Experimental results show that Supersil columns have extremely low metal ion content and excellent end-capping.

Wide pH tolerance range (pH=1.0~10.0)

It exhibits excellent stability under both low and high pH conditions. The chromatographic performance remains unchanged after continuous flushing for 20 days using mobile phases at pH 1.5 and pH 10.0.

Methanol: Trifluoroacetic acid aqueous solution (pH=1.5)=70:30(v/v)

Methanol: Triethylamine aqueous solution (pH=10.0)=70:30(v/v)
